QQQ ETF: Here’s What Happened on the Last Trading Day of March 2026

The below chart is a daily chart of the Invesco QQQ ETF (Ticker: QQQ).

QQQ is a near 1-for-1 representation of the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite.

Since October 29th 2025, the Nasdaq (and QQQ) have been seeing consolidation (selling pressure) with selling accelerating beginning in early February 2026.

Today, although true “capitulation” likely hasn’t happened yet (meaning sellers have been fully exhausted and weak hands are fully washed out), there was a gap up on higher volume with fairly consistent buying throughout the day leading to a rare, over 3.5% gain in the Nasdaq.

This indicates a short term bottom is likely in. However, it’s important to note the price action must now contend with bearish moving averages over the coming weeks.
